About Chelsea Axelrod

Chelsea grew up in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Chelsea says it was her wandering spirit that led her to ODU (Go Monarchs!) where she served as President of her sorority ZTA, as well as numerous other extracurricular activities. After graduating, Chelsea worked at an Electrical Engineering company in all areas of business operations. Out of all the jobs she’s had, being a Mom is her favorite. Chelsea is married to her husband Max and they have two young kids- son Jackson and baby girl Delaney. She also has a “crazy Puggle” Layla who keeps her busy!

In her free time, Chelsea and her family enjoy the beach, taking trips to her favorite little town Cape Charles, and exploring new breweries and places to eat. They also love to travel. Chelsea says she runs on iced coffee and margaritas!

Growing up with a dad that was a builder in Maryland, Real Estate has always been a lifelong goal for Chelsea. Her favorite part of watching her dad on work sites was when he handed over the keys to the new owners. Now, as an agent, HER favorite thing to do is hand over the keys to her clients at the closing table and watch them turn their houses into homes for their families. She got into real estate to help people invest in themselves and to provide a safe place for her clients to ask any and all questions. She aims to provide a no judgment, “Come as you are” vibe.

So Why OWN? Chelsea says she joined OWN because of the “electric” culture when she walked through the doors. Everyone she has met is excited to work at OWN and loves helping people. Chelsea could see that OWN invests in their agents and clients and it shows. “The brokers have a growth mindset for their business, mixed with a big family atmosphere which is unlike any other brokerage. All of these wonderful qualities will create an environment for agents to be the best versions of themselves.” Chelsea felt that she was joining a family that all have the common goal of helping people above all else, which is everything she believes in.
