About Erin O’Brien
Erin attended the University of Richmond and began her career working in the NFL for teams including the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Cleveland Browns. After working in the world of professional sports, she took a job in event and meeting management with a boutique company based in Washington, D.C.A few years later, Erin itched to get back to her hometown of Virginia Beach. If you asked Erin, she’d tell you that coming home to Virginia Beach didn’t mean wanting to work a nine-to-five job. She didn’t want to be sitting at a desk, because it just wasn’t the right fit. But, every single day, she drove by the Alpha College of Real Estate. While talking with her mom, who by that point had been working for over twenty-five years in real estate, she told her mom she was going to take night classes to see what real estate was all about. A few months later, she was licensed and joined her mom as a team!
Erin told us this: “My mother is the ultimate professional and I learned more from her in the first year than most agents do in five years. I am grateful for her mentorship. In 2020, I started selling as an individual and have continued to grow, thrive, and build amazing relationships with clients, other Realtors, vendors, etc.”
To date, Erin has earned the COE Silver award six times and the COE Platinum award three times. When asked why OWN, Erin responded with this: “Sean Rooney.” We’re only partly kidding. She was moved by the relationships with her OWN family that have grown over the years that make her a better person and a better Realtor. Sean has been a friend, mentor, and resource to her for more than ten years. As she grew her business, he has remained a constant and steady pillar in her life, personally, and professionally. During the past three years, she has continued to develop friendships with many OWN agents, who encourage and inspire her on a daily basis. She is looking forward to the group’s energy, the collaboration among agents, and the training to help her continue to build a successful, thriving career focused on positively impacting the communities she is a part of.
