Throughout Keith’s many careers, his interest in problem solving, public service, and helping people achieve their dreams has always been in the forefront. After retiring from the Navy, Keith became more involved in public service. Through the development of National Service programs and systems, he helped to improve neighborhood resources and youth opportunities over broad and diverse areas. After many years working in the National Service, Points of Light, and AmeriCorps world, Keith took on a new role —creating and growing a commercial cleaning company, serving businesses in three states and the District of Columbia. Several years later, with a need and want for change, he went on to help create a State Education Office in the District of Columbia with the support from the Washington D.C. Mayor. Recognizing it was time to move on from the world of politics, his wife recommended that he consider Residential Real Estate before officially retiring.Through personal reflection on his lifetime experiences, he understood the value of home ownership, neighborhood stability, long term wealth building, development of self-pride expectations and an associated impact on national security. These specific points seemed to tie all his personal motivation factors together—his why. When asked why he chose to join OWN, “Simple. I have been involved in Real Estate for many years through many companies. I have seen a large number of brokerages that simply saw the practice of retail real estate as simply a means to profit for the company/principles.When I met Sean almost a year ago, I found him to be the kind of person I enjoyed being around. It was clear to me that he brought his focus on character, ethics and integrity along with genuine concern for the wellbeing of his agents as core values of his company. Once I saw that those characteristics flowed through the brokerage/agents I was hooked and there wasn’t really any other place for me to be. The bell was rung. I wanted to be a part of an organization that was that motivated and focused on doing Real Estate right.”
