MEGAN VESELKA

Megan is a native of Hampton Roads (Chesapeake to be exact!), wife of a Navy veteran, and a graduate of Virginia Tech and ODU, where she got her M.S. Ed. After college Megan taught high school science for Chesapeake Public Schools for 11 years before starting her career in Real Estate. Megan is married to her husband of 6 years and they have three boys: Weston, Carson, and Landon, as well as a golden retriever named Shiner and a golden doodle named Winnie. What a full house! Megan loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, and embracing the chaos that encompasses life with 3 boys 5 and under. Having grown up here in Hampton Roads, Megan loves that it has so much to offer for all interests. Her favorites include spending time at the beach, grabbing coffee at a local coffee shop, or visiting local breweries. Megan’s love for houses began as a child, growing up as a Master Carpenter’s daughter. We have so many agents that fell in love with houses and real estate thanks to their parents! Megan’s grandfather and father owned a small contracting business that they opened in 1969 that stood the test of time through many changes in the economy and the industry. Megan’s dad taught her a lot about a home’s construction, character, and potential. He is still her “phone a friend” lifeline. Combine that with her love for people, relationships, communication, and education that comes from life as a teacher, and it makes a perfect marriage to real estate. She loves seeing the potential a house has to offer and helping people find that perfect fit for their family. So why OWN? Megan chose OWN because of the sense of community she immediately felt. It helps that her friend Skylar Barfield is already an OWN agent so she gave her the lay of the land and let her know how great it was!
