About Vanessa Sykes
Vanessa is a former teacher for Virginia Beach Public Schools, having attended the University of Virginia for her undergrad and Old Dominion University for her graduate degree. She moved to Virginia from Miami when she was 6 years old – her whole family is from Cuba, and Spanish was her first language. Vanessa loves to travel and has dreams of going to Scotland with her husband.
Vanessa loves Coastal Virginia because of all the fun and eclectic things to do around town: from hiking on the weekends to days at the Chesapeake Bay to going to see her husband play in shows. Vanessa got into Real Estate to help her mom who had been flipping houses – and once she got a taste of it, she fell in love. Vanessa says that she loves Real Estate so much because it’s centered around your relationship with the client, setting a goal, and taking the stress and worry of selling and buying a home. There is nothing better in the world than the end result of working closely with clients to find the home of their dreams, and/or having a smooth sale of their home.
Vanessa is a seasoned real estate agent, and even achieved bronze Circle of Excellence in 2020 and gold in 2021!
